Responsibilities

• To handle and manage the Company’s assignments primarily in relation to tax advisory work for companies and individuals
• To assist in corporate restructuring, tax due diligence and other advisory jobs
• Researching, analysing and interpreting tax legislation / tax incentives
• To assist in tax audit and investigation engagements
• To assist in real property gains tax, stamp duty and indirect tax engagements
• To monitor and update any technical and business developments
• To have meetings with clients, business associates and officers from government authorities, as and when required
• To assume in such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.

Requirements

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Taxation or equivalent
• At least 2 – 7 years of working experience in the related field
• An analytical and logical mind capable of interpreting data and written information
• Planning and organisation skills

Responsibilities

• Handle bookkeeping and data entry
• Maintain full set of accounts including GL, AP, AR and bank reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Handle payroll processing, payslips and employee records
• Manage statutory submissions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, Form E and EA Forms)
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents for audit and tax matters
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and labour laws
• Handle ad-hoc payroll related tasks

Requirements

• Must possess at least a Diploma in accountancy or equivalent
• Familiar with accounting software such as SQL Accounting, AutoCount or equivalent
• Able to speak (fluently) and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Able and willing to work under pressure and meeting deadline
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• A recognised Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification and a chartered accountant registered with Malaysian Institute of Accountants
• At least 5 years’ experience in external audit
• Able to manage a portfolio of clients with good interpersonal, communication, good work ethic and writing skills
• Good technical knowledge in accounting and auditing standards
• Proficient in English. Mandarin is not required but an added advantage
• Exposure to areas such as internal audit and corporate exercises will be an added advantage.
