With more than 15 years of tax experience at Moore Advent, Joy is involved in leading the firm’s tax compliance portfolios, covering private limited companies, public listed companies on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, as well as individual clients, including both local and expatriate employees. The firm’s corporate clientele spans a wide range of industries, including sales and distribution, manufacturing, services, pharmaceuticals, property development and investment holding (listed and non-listed). Joy is currently also leading the Tax Division of the Penang Branch of Moore Advent.
In addition to managing compliance portfolios, Joy is involved in various non-compliance engagements such as tax audits, tax advisory, tax due diligence, and tax incentive matters. She is also overseeing the firm’s monthly tax publication, Tax Flash, which provides timely insights on tax and regulatory developments.
Prior to the re-introduction of SST in Malaysia in 2018, Joy has successfully completed the Customs Goods and Services Tax [“GST”] examination and was involved in various GST advisory and implementation assignments.
Joy was an editorial member of the Annual Budget Commentary jointly published by professional bodies for approximately 10 years.
