Rachel has more than 12 years of experience across a wide range of Malaysian taxation matters, including tax compliance, tax audit and investigation, business restructuring, tax due diligence and review, tax advisory as well as application for tax incentive and private ruling. Her work spans key tax areas such as income tax, capital gains tax, real property gains tax and stamp duty. She specialises in tax advisory, tax training, tax audit and investigation.
Rachel has worked with clients from various industries, including property development, construction and pharmaceuticals. She also has 2 years of experience in the US state and local income tax compliance, having previously worked with one of the Big Four accounting firms.
Prior to the re-introduction of SST in Malaysia in year 2018, Rachel successfully completed the Customs Goods and Services Tax [“GST”] examination and was involved in various GST advisory and implementation assignments.
Rachel was an editorial member of the Annual Budget Commentary jointly published by professional bodies for approximately 10 years.
