Responsibilities

• To manage and deliver the Company’s tax advisory engagements.
• To support and coordinate cross-division and cross-border assignments.
• To provide technical oversight on tax compliance matters arising from advisory engagements.
• To monitor and update technical, regulatory, business and industry developments relevant to clients and the profession.
• To develop technical materials, publications, training programmes and seminars for both internal and external audiences.
• To establish and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, business associates and officers from regulatory and government authorities.
• To contribute to tax technology, automation and AI implementation projects.
• To collaborate and mentor, where necessary, and contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the practice.
• To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.

Requirements

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Law or equivalent.
• At least 5–7 years of relevant experience in Malaysian tax advisory and compliance.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and tax law interpretation skills, with the ability to conduct independent research, analyse complex issues and formulate technically robust and commercially practical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage engagements independently and interact confidently with senior management, clients and regulators.
• Self-motivated, commercially minded and keen to explore new developments in taxation, business and technology.
• Experience in one or more of the relevant advisory areas listed above would be an advantage. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is also highly desirable, particularly for cross-border and China-related engagements.
